Robert Louis Stevenson’s The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is one of modern literature’s most famous works. … It may come as a surprise, then, to learn that the inspiration for this great work came from a fever dream Stevenson had during a particularly bad bout of consumption (tuberculosis). Robert Louis Stevenson had a very unique type of writing style that can be seen in many different ways throughout his poems.
